I managed the pre-opening and opening public relations of Anantara Tozeur Resort.  By immersing media in local culture and heritage, reaching out to opinion leaders who define ‘what’s hot’, curating local experiences and developing a niche marketing and PR strategy,  I helped to build awareness of the evocative North African destination and luxurious oasis resort when it opened in 2019.

Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas

Nestled on Le Chaland beach along the south-eastern coast of Mauritius, Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas is a tranquil hideaway offering secluded luxury. The 164 Premier and Deluxe rooms, Suites and Villas offer stylish bedrooms and bathrooms with a rain shower and separate bathtub, as well as a terrace or balcony with a daybed overlooking either the resorts lush tropical gardens or the warm Indian Ocean. The pared-back design doesn't distract from the view rather it blends well with the terrain, echoing the sparkling shades of blue sea, powdery ivory beaches, amber sunsets and rare yellow corals.

Opened in September 2019, Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas immerses travellers in the authentic culture and natural beauty of the South Coast of Mauritius. I was involved in the pre-opening of the resort – generating creative experiences for media in order to differentiate the resort from competitor hotels, writing SEO targeted content and developing press kits, brochures and articles.

FCC Angkor by Avani

FCC Angor by Avani offers travellers a stylish base in the heart of the French Quarter in Siem Reap. From the moment you enter  you are assailed by the scents and scenes of Cambodia’s storied past. Walking through the lemon grass paths, you enter a timeless space surrounded by towering, centuries-old trees and lush tropical flora. The architectural design bridges past and present - a tranquil retreat effortlessly blending into the natural environment and drawing energy from Angkor Wat and the Tonle Sap.

Over a 6 month period, I hosted media and travel influencers from Asia, Europe, US and GCC , introducing them to Cambodia's Angkor heritage. I developed integrated marketing and communication plans, curated press itineraries and specialised local experiences, coordinated special projects and wrote press releases, briefs, media statements, articles and advertorials.

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas officially opened in February 2020 in the southeast of Malaysia, located along a pristine 17-kilometre beachfront facing the South China Sea and set within an integrated development whose white-sand beaches, theme parks, golf and family diversions deliver fun-filled getaways.

I managed the media launch of the resort; writing and editing website content, press releases and advertorials, attracting influencers and media from USA, Asia and Middle East, curating press itineraries and local experiences and hosting media and travel influencers.

Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort opened in December 2015 on the south coast of Sri Lanka offering travellers a new chapter in unmatched amenities and hospitality in Sri Lanka. I managed the pre-opening and opening, hosting international top tier luxury travel and lifestyle media, styling of video and photoshoots, direct pitching to media, curated press experiences and developed a niche marketing and PR strategy to build awareness.

I also managed the pre-opening marketing and communications for Anantara Kalutara Resort.

#Avanime Brand Campaign

In 2016 Avani Hotels & Resorts repositioned the brand as a hotel brand for millennial minded travellers – people not defined by age but by mind-set and common values. We needed a strong brand campaign to attract global travellers – going beyond typical ‘hotel’ advertising and communications to engage with consumers and get their attention. My job as PR Director for Avani Hotels & Resorts was to drive the development of PR strategies for the brand globally.

We created #AvaniMe, a brilliant brand campaign to capture little moments of life. Of travel. As seen through the lens of celebrities, travel influencers and local experts, giving travellers a new perspective and way of thinking about travel – a deeper cultural connection and insider knowledge. I wrote the brand story, website content, video scripts, press releases and advertising copy.
